Championship Manager Video Game Series
A series of sports management simulations, allowing you to take on the role of a football team director. The series was started by brothers Paul and Oliver Collyer. Currently, the intellectual property rights are in the hands of Square Enix.
The series debuted in 1992 with the game Championship Manager published by Domark in versions for PC, Amiga and Atari ST computers. The production was very well received among gamers and became the basis for subsequent installments of the series - Championship Manager '93 and Championship Manager Italia. In 1995, the second generation saw the light of day -. Championship Manager 2, which was a spectacular commercial success and established the brand as a leader among soccer managers.
After the release of Championship Manager 4 and Championship Manager: Season 03/04 in 2003, the paths of the developer, Sports Interactive studio, and the publisher, Eidos Interactive, parted ways. The former tied up with the SEGA corporation, which resulted in a new project, a series of Football Manager. Eidos, meanwhile, retained the rights to the brand Championship Manager, which it developed in subsequent years in cooperation with the Beautiful Game studio. Until 2010, the developers managed to keep to a one-year production cycle, with some years seeing the release of two games in the series (for example, 2010 saw the release of Championship Manager World Challenge i Championship Manager 2011).
In keeping with the canon of the genre, games in the series Championship Manager allow you to take on the role of a soccer team manager. In general, the database contains information about teams and players from dozens of the world's major football leagues. Not infrequently, players can also try their hand at managing national teams.
Managing a football club in games from the series Championship Manager is based mainly on making transfer decisions, negotiating contracts with players, concluding sponsorship deals, imposing training regimes and setting match tactics.
Games in the series Championship Manager are based primarily on the text layer (graphs, indicators, analysis, statistical data). Graphic elements are usually only decorative. In newer installments of the series there are also animations, presenting events on virtual pitches.

A football manager from one of the most popular series of the genre. Championship Manager 17 is a free-to-play mobile game with microtransactions, developed by Square Enix's internal studio. As always, we assume the role of a manager running a football club, whose task is to lead his organization onto a path to victory and financial success. The player’s responsibilities include making transfers, organization of training sessions, and preparation of tactical plans for the matches. Of course, balancing the budget is a key issue, the one above all others. Championship Manager 17 makes use of an extensive database built on official licenses. The authors included up-to-date statistics and line-ups, a more realistic approach and an improved interface. Other novelties include the ability to hire assistants, who can relieve us from some duties, and a two-dimensional graphic engine, allowing us to follow the matches live, and modify tactics on the fly.

A football-themed manager game created by Square Enix, specifically for mobile devices. The player's task here is to build up the titular dream team - the game offers thousands of real footballers to choose from, and those belong to over 440 different teams. Apart from arranging transfers and selecting footballers, the player has to develop adequate training plans and tactics - the latter have to be modified during matches as well. The player is also required to take care of a stadium that needs to be upgraded on a regular basis. All of this however, requires proper funding, thus it is necessary to manage the club's money appropriately - both the income and expenses have to be balanced. Apart from the single-player mode, Championship Manager: All-Stars offers three multiplayer modes, including the world league, short tournaments, and the special Sudden Death mode - getting defeated three times here puts an end to the career.
