Call of Duty: WWII - The War Machine

Call of Duty: WWII – The War Machine is an expansion to the 2017's FPS game Call of Duty: WWII. Both productions were developed by Sledgehammer Games, also known for creating Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Mechanics

After The Resistance, The War Machine is the second expansion to Call of Duty: WWII, and similarly to the previous DLC does not implement any significant changes to the gameplay mechanics and focuses on introducing new content for the multiplayer mode. The War Machine features three new PvP maps – Dunking, Egypt, and secret Nazi V2 rocket facility.

Call of Duty: WWII – The War Machine introduces also a new mission to the War mode – Operation Husky that was developed in cooperation with Raven Software. Players get to join the Allied Forces and invade Sicily to retrieve information about the targets in enemy harbors. Then, the player can become a fighter pilot with the task of covering bombers providing aerial support.

The expansion described herein also introduces a new chapter in the Zombie mode – The Shadowed Throne that takes players to Berlins overrun by zombies unleashed by the Nazis in a desperate attempt of repelling the Allied Forces.

Technical aspects

The War Machine is not a standalone expansion – in order to work, it requires the base game. The expansion features the same audiovisual performance as Call of Duty: WWII.
