Call of Duty: WWII - The Resistance

The Resistance is the first DLC for Call of Duty: WWII. Both the expansion and the base game were developed by Sledgehammer Games and, among other platforms, are available on PC, PS4 and XONE.

Mechanics

Call of Duty: WWII – The Resistance for PC, PS4 and XONE introduces three new maps into the multiplayer mode, namely Anthropoid (located in Prague, Czechoslovakia), Occupation (set in Paris), and Valkyrie (located in Masuria, East Prussia). Moreover, this DLC implements Operation Intercept into the War mode – it takes players to the French town of Saint-Lô, where they join the Allied Forces and are tasked with rescuing the members of the Resistance transported on the train.

The list of the novelties includes a new chapter in the Nazi Zombies mode, called The Darkest Shore. It is set several days before the events that took place in the Bavarian town of Middelburg – the four main protagonists (Marie, Drostan, Jefferson, and Olivia) set out to a small island located in the northern part of Germany in hopes to confront dr. Peter “Glucksbringer” Straub. Their mission is complicated by the fact that Straub’s headquarters is being guided by the living dead, air force, and the navy.

Technical aspects

The Resistance for PC, PS4 and XONE is not a standalone add-on, thus it requires players to own the base game. This expansion does not alter the audiovisuals of Call of Duty: WWII.
