Call of Duty: Black Ops III - Zombies Chronicles Description
Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles released for PC, PS4 and XONE is a DLC pack for first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops III. This is an add-on, which means that it requires the original version of the game to play. Treyarch developed both of these games.
Mechanics
The Zombies Chronicles add-on is a collection of remastered versions of the best zombie mode levels from Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Zombies Chronicles features three maps from Call of Duty: World at War. You get to an abandoned airport Nacht der Untoten, visit an asylum in Verruckt, and fight zombies in a Japanese facility surrounded by thick jungle in Shi No Numa.
Zombie Chronicles also offers four remastered levels from Call of Duty: Black Ops. It turns Der Toten Cinema into a battlefield, just like it does with a Soviet space flight center featured in Ascension. Shangri-La carries us to the ruins of a temple hidden deep in the rainforest and the Moon map invites you to the Moon base. The fewest maps come from Call of Duty: Black Ops II – namely, there is only one map from that game, called Origins, where you fight around some Nazi excavations, where pure evil has been released.
In total, Zombie Chronicles offers eight levels. All of them can be played solo or in a cooperative mode for up to four players. Regardless of which map you choose, the basic gameplay mechanics are the same. Therefore, this is a first-person shooter, in which you are confined within closed spaces and have to repel zombies hordes attacking in waves.
All maps are interactive to some extent. Players must look for weapons and other useful items, create barricades, and use a variety of equipment and traps.
Technical aspects
The maps available in the PC, PS4 and XONE version of Call of Duty PC: Black Ops III – Zombies Chronicles went through some facelifting. Compared to their older versions, the maps offer higher resolution graphics, sharper textures and more impressive visual effects.
