A three-dimensional rhythm game in which virtual dancers face off against each other in spectacular duels, showing off their choreographies. The task of the players is to press the appropriate button combinations in the rhythm specified for a given song.

A three-dimensional rhythm game developed by Metro Graphics, in which dancers, representing various styles, face off in spectacular battles, fighting for the title of the best in the universe. The game launched a series of two more parts.

Mechanics

Bust-A-Groove combines elements of rhythm and fighting game. In one-on-one duels, dancers representing different styles face each other. Fourteen dancers participate in the competition, including the freestyling Frida, Hiro who specializes in disco, vogue style Kitty, breakdancer Heat or the mysterious Gas-O, who expresses himself through a strange costume and house music. Each of them has their own, unique choreography and a map adjusted to their favourite style.

The player's task is to press the combinations shown in the bar in the center of the screen and then, every fourth beat of the rhythm, the indicated button. Successful performance results in the next part of the arrangement being danced by the selected character, which translates into a combo chain and increasing score. Depending on the number of successful moves executed during the song, one of the two participants in the duel will be declared the winner. The rivalry is enriched by special moves, which are able to spoil the opponent's performance, as well as more difficult elements with a higher point value, which are unlocked after a successful series.
