Bus Simulator 17 is a bus driving simulation developed by Alexandru Marusac, an experienced mobile app developer. The creator prepared a number of varied vehicles – from a school bus to an urban double-decker. We drive the vehicles, transporting people not only throughout a city but also in the mountains, on a desert, or other rural areas. The game features advanced physics and destruction system, which forces us to drive carefully.
There are many different kinds of simulators available on the mobile market, including Farming Simulator 18, Car Mechanic Simulator 2014, and Construction Simulator 2. The free Bus Simulator 17 for AND and iOS deals with the job of a bus driver. The project was developed by Alexandru Marusac, a developer that has created many other mobile games, such as Driving School 2016 and Real Driving 3D.
Mechanics
The gameplay premise is simple – our task is to simply drive from point A to point B while driving one of the available vehicles. In Bus Simulator 17, we sit behind the wheel of different kinds of buses, such as a school bus, tour bus, a double-decker, and so on. Each machine drives differently but in all cases we have to take a number of factors into account. As the title suggests, it is a simulation game so we not only have to drive a bus but also halt at bus stops, open the doors, and, first and foremost, pay attention to other cars in the traffic.
Sometimes we move through a crowded city, sometimes we go to the mountains, or drive our passengers on a highway. The varied environments require us to adjust to the new conditions. For example, we can’t go as fast as on a highway while in the city. Moreover, the weather conditions change along with the landscape, and we will be forced to, for example, drive in a heavy rain more than once.
Bus Simulator 17 for AND and iOS also features quite advanced physics that forces us to drive carefully. Incautious drivers must reckon with damage since the game offers a realistic system of vehicle destruction.
Game modes
The production puts emphasis on solo play – the player either performs subsequent tasks to drive around within the Free Ride mode. The title also offers a multiplayer mode and a route editor.
Technical aspects
Bus Simulator 17 for AND and iOS is a three-dimensional production. The developer tried to faithfully model the available buses by paying attention not only to its outside appearance but also their interiors. Another strength of the game are its varied locations and changing weather conditions.
