Paws on Fire! is the subtitle of the sixth installment of the Bubsy series - platformer games published by Accolade. The production was created by Choice Provisions, known for its BIT.TRIP series.

Story

The story told in Bubsy: Paws on Fire! revolves around an unusual alliance formed by Bubsy and his eternal enemies, known as Woolies. Thanks to this we can play not only in the title character, but also as his companions, i.e. The Woolie, Arnold and Virgil. Apart from them, the game features characters known from earlier installments of the cycle (such as Terri, Terry or Oinker).

Mechanics

Bubsy: Paws on Fire! consists of over a hundred levels located in three different worlds. Despite the fact that during the game we usually observe the action from the side, on selected levels the camera moves behind the character's back. The gameplay consists of traversing colourful locations (protagonists run forward without our intereference), avoiding numerous traps, as well as fighting battles with enemies, including three powerful bosses. It's worth noting that each hero plays differently - for example, Woolie can control a flying plate and shoot adversaries from it, while Arnold takes us to bonus stages located underground. As we progress, we get costumes and cosmetic items for our characters.
