The second DLC for Borderlands, a popular game from Gearbox Software that combines the mechanics of an FPS with RPG elements. Contrary to the previous expansion, which offered a separate storyline played in a new location, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot introduces three arenas where we fight subsequent waves of enemies either solo or alongside three other players.

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot the second DLC for Borderlands, a game that combines elements of a spectacular first-person shooter and a simple RPG, which came out in October 2009. The expansion was developed by Gearbox Software.

Plot

In the game, we are taken to the post-apocalyptic planet of Pandora again. Having installed the expansion, we gain access to three new arenas, the so-called riot arenas, on which we fight hordes of enemies, playing either solo or in the cooperation mode with up to three other players.

Mechanics

Winning battles allows us to, first and foremost, quickly gain large amounts of experience points. We can also obtain new weapons, either by collecting them from the bodies of defeated enemies or receiving them as awards for completed rounds. Other bonuses offered by Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot include the possibility of unlocking two additional skill points and a bank that serves as a stash for currently unused items.

In subsequent fights, we face both the enemies we have already fought as well as those previously unknown. The common feature of most battles is the fact that we are almost always outnumbered, which forces us to think tactically and to skillfully use the available weapons. It is also worth stressing that the difficulty level of the expansion automatically adjusts to our advancement level from the vanilla game.

Technical aspect

The graphics of Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot include mostly carefully designed levels where battles take place. The subsequent fights occur both under the open sky and under the ground.
