Bombing Bastards Description
Bombing Bastards (also known as Bombing Busters) is an action game based on the cult Bomberman series. The game was developed by Sanuk Games, who have developed such titles as Spot The Differences!, Twin Blades or Real Crimes: Jack The Ripper.
Plot
The authors were not bothered by making a complex plot, so the script is only a pretext for the gameplay. We play the role of an explosives specialist, who is hired by Dr. Wallow to clear the galaxy of aggressive creatures. This will allow our employer to become the ruler of the universe.
Mechanics
Bombing Bastards is a clone of classic Bomberman. Events are observed from a bird's eye view, and each map has the form of a labyrinth filled with enemies. Our task is to kill them, but the only weapons at our disposal are bombs. They explode after some time, so we must learn to anticipate the actions of our enemies. Levels consist of both indestructible obstacles and destructive elements.
The game takes place in five types of worlds, offering a total of thirty labyrinths. The authors took care of a large variety of opponents, as well as five powerful bosses. In addition, by destroying objects and killing enemies, we can accumulate many types of useful items that provide special powers.
Technical aspects
The game offers a three-dimensional graphic design made in a slight cartoon style. The gameplay is accompanied by electronic remixes of popular classical music compositions. An additional attraction is a fact that Doctor Wallow comments the gameplay on an ongoing basis, who was voiced by David Goldfarb, an actor known for his several roles in Mario Kart 8.
