Tower defense production, in which the player's task is to defend the monkey's land against the temptations of the title Bloons. In the course of the game, we set up various units along the paths taken by the opponents - as the game progresses, we obtain the necessary funds to expand the army in our hands and to introduce various improvements.

Bloons TD 5 is a representative of the tower defense genre, developed by the independent studio Ninja Kiwi. The production appeared both on desktop platforms (personal computers and consoles) and on mobile devices.

Story

The story layer does not play a particularly important role in Bloons TD 5. Players take control of fearless monkeys whose lives have been threatened by the invasion of the title Bloons. Luckily, armed to the teeth, the protagonists are ready to face any danger.

Mechanics

The action in Bloons TD 5 is presented from top-down perspective. The game is based on a formula characteristic for the genre - our task is to defend the monkey land from enemies attacking along predetermined routes. The mission requires the deployment of different units along the paths taken by the opponents. The initial stages are not a major challenge, and it is enough to use basic monkeys to defend oneself effectively. With time, however, enemies begin to send more and more powerful forces to the battlefield (apart from balloons, airships may appear on the battlefield, among others) - then the only solution is to buy special towers with unique functions and rely on the services of special agents. As we succeed, we raise funds for the expansion of the army, thanks to which we can obtain various improvements developed in the Monkey Laboratory.

Game modes

Bloons TD 5 offers a wide range of gameplay variants. More than 250 random missions are accompanied by 10 special tasks, and after mastering each of the dozens of routes, nothing stands in the way of playing any game mode. The title offers both single player and cooperation modes.

Technical aspects

The two-dimensional viuals of Bloons TD 5 can be very enjoyable thanks to the pleasing, cartoonish design. Although we are not dealing with a free production, the creators decided to include optional microtransactions.
