Blooming Business: Casino is a combination of a simulation game and economic strategy inspired by the growth of Las Vegas during the 1950s. It was developed by an indie studio Homo Ludens and published by Curve Games.

Mechanics

Blooming Business: Casino makes use of the top-down perspective. The player's tasked with transforming an old casino into a famous, prospering facility, attracting tons of customers and bringing massive profits. To achieve that, we need to wisely invest money, expand and decorate the casino and hire qualified employees.

Though it may sound easy at first, things get complicated very quickly. Different guests have different tastes when it comes to room decor, so it's up to us whether we target a specific audience or try to please everyone. To manage our ever-increasing number of employees we must start hiring table managers, who supervise their work, increase their loyalty and unlock new management skills. Market research is also important, as it lets us unlock new items and bonuses.

If our budget starts running dry, we can also try to rig the results in our favor... unless we'd rather obey the law and satisfy our clients regardless of cost.

Game modes

Blooming Business: Casino features two primary game modes. The first is missions, tasking us with completing objectives and fulfilling the varied, sometimes contradictory expectations of VIPs entering the casino. By establishing contact with them we get to know them better and learn about their whims, to which we must adapt the facility; it's worth the trouble, as the pay-off can be massive. The second is sandbox mode, giving us access to all of the game's content without any objectives or limitations.

Technical aspects

Blooming Business: Casino makes use of a colorful, cartoonish artstyle. The visitors of our casino are unusual, including humanoid animals and animated mascots.
