A cooperative MOBA taking place in a post-apocalyptic universe. The players take part in a brutal reality show that follows a group of peacekeepers sent by a cruel dictator to quell a local uprisings. As a result, we engage in bloody extermination of local rebels who attempt to save their home towns.
Bloodsports.TV for PC is a cooperative action game mixed with a number of elements originated in different MOBAs (multiplayer online battle arenas). The action takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe brimming with peculiar humor and violence delivered in a characteristic, cartoonish manner. The game itself is a spin-off of Krater, a role-playing game of similar playstyle, and was developed by Toadman Interactive.
Plot
The players take part in a futuristic TV show where we assume the roles of peacemakers sent by a savage dictator to eliminate disobedient subjects. However, as could be easily imagined, our goal is to fight against local citizens that attempt to save their villages and deliver as much of violent and bloody footage as possible.
Mechanics
We are left with eight varied heroes characterized by different purpose and unique abilities. The characters can equip over a hundred items that offer various bonuses in combat. The gameplay itself is very similar to what we can encounter in other MOBAs, including certain elements such as top-down camera, or abilities divided between four keyboard keys. The list of abilities includes electroshocking, drowning, or slashing your enemies. The esthetics, while brutal, don’t cross the line of good taste.
Technical Aspects
Bloodsports. TV has a unconventional artistic style inspired by the well-received Borderlands series – heavily contoured, cartoonish esthetics, as well as unusual, crazy set of heroes which are definitely characteristic and fit great within the introduced universe.
