Block Fortress: War

Mechanics

The gameplay focuses on battles between two teams who try to destroy their opponent's base. There are five different factions with ten heroes to choose from. We can also develop our character through the progression system. The combat is arcade and resembles classic shooters.

Maps have strictly defined paths. We gain resources by killing enemies and capturing points. These resources can be used for improving characters and building defensive structures, such as walls, traps and watchtowers. Moreover, it is also possible to train the army, which plays the role of minions known from MOBA games. This means that we don't have full control over them and instead these units are controlled by artificial intelligence, which automatically attacks the enemy base.

Game modes

Block Fortress: War offers an extensive single-player campaign in which we have to conquer five planets. The player controls one hero and the others are controlled by the AI. True fun awaits you in multiplayer mode, where you can face other people in one-on-one or two-on-two battles, and constantly updated online rankings allow you to compare your achievements with the rest of the community. An additional attraction is the endless mode, in which we fight against endless waves of enemies and the whole game consists in trying to postpone the moment of defeat as much as possible.
