BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Description
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is an improved edition of the 2D BlazBlue: Continuum Shift released in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In addition to Sony and Microsoft platforms, the Extend was also released on the PlayStation Vita portable console. The production does not introduce too many changes in relation to the predecessor and is not described as a full-fledged continuation. However, the introduced updates improve the gameplay and make the game even better than the original. Two characters joined the group of well-known warriors - Ignis and Relius Clover. Both have their own set of strikes and get new scenarios in story mode. The old guard has been cosmetically improved in order to polish the balance of the game. The power of the individual heroes has been properly balanced and adjusted to fan requests. However, any changes in this respect are minimal and will probably be noticed only by the greatest fans of the series.
Developers have also tried to introduce new modes. Abyss Mode offers a refreshed version of the story known from the original. In Network Mode, on the other hand, we can fight duels in teams of different sizes. For example, it is possible to fight two out of four warriors. This allows you to level the odds in a situation where players with completely different skills battle with each other. PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners can move saved game states between platforms, so you can start playing on one console and continue fighting on the other one after a while.
The graphics looks very good and has only been slightly improved compared to the original. An interesting patent was used, combining three-dimensional backgrounds with two-dimensional characters. The whole thing looks really nice and original. Game is prolonged thanks to the multiplayer mode - both online and local.
Game mode: single / multiplayer. Multiplayer mode: Internet / local network. Number of players: 1-2.
