Arcade, isometric view, indie games, PlayStation exclusive, multiplayer, singleplayer, internet
An arcade game developed by the debuting DreamMail Games studio, designed mainly for playing in multiplayer mode for up to 4 people. Action of Blade Ballet takes place in the distant future where humanity went extinct, and the planet is inhabited by mechanical automatons. After completing their predefined life cycle machines are to fight for survival in a deadly competition, aimed at waste reprocessing and identification of the strongest units.
Blade Ballet on PS4 is an arcade game from a small studio DreamSail Games. This is the first project of this team, but it doesn't mean that developers have no experience at all. The company was founded by Justin Sanders, who previously worked at Insomniac Games. In addition to him, the team also includes people from Scholastic, Large Animal Games and more.
Plot
The story told in Blade Ballet isn't that important. The action takes place in a distant future, in which mankind is extinct and the planet is inhabited by automatons - robots that have been produced in factories for years. At the end of their normal life cycle, the machines fight for survival in deadly competitions that aim both to dispose of waste and to identify the strongest units.
Mechanics
Blade Ballet on PS4 is designed primarily for multiplayer where up to four players can participate at the same time. WE play as the robots fighting in the above-mentioned competitions. Each of the robots (a total of ten different types) has different skills and weapons, but the fun comes down to the proper control of our robot - it attacks and defends itself by spinning around. An additional attraction is the five arenas where fights take place. Each of them has various elements that can be used against enemies. The game is very easy to learn, but its mastering requires a little more effort.
