Black Circle: A Carol Reed Mystery PC

Black Circle is the sixth part of the adventures of private detective Carol Reed. The latest production of the MDNA Games team continues the tradition of the cycle, offering adventure fun in a classic style. Knowledge of the previous games in the series may be useful while playing, but is not required.

The action of the game is set in the Swedish city of Norrköping. During the morning stroll Oscar - a local doctor and friend of Carol Reed (the heroine the player plays) finds a dead body not far from the old shed. But when the police arrive, they discover that the body has disappeared without a trace. The investigators, of course, recognize that the Oscar has come up with everything. He doesn't give up and asks Carol for help. The only circumstantial evidence is a phone number found near the shed. However, the investigation quickly gains momentum, entangling Miss Reed into a web of secrets, hiding much more secrets than just one lost body.

The latest work of MDNA Games is a classic adventure. The game is controlled solely by the mouse and consists of exploring the location, conducting conversations and solving puzzles. Less experienced players will benefit from an extensive system of hints. Black Cirlce is devoid of any arcade sequences.

The Black Circle graphics were created with the help of appropriately reworked photographs of authentic places in Norrköping. This is a method that can rarely be found in contemporary productions, but it adds a specific charm to the game. All dialogues were recorded in Swedish and then with English subtitles.
