Bike Mayhem 2 is a side-srolling arcade game about biking designed for XONE as a continuation to Bike Mayhem: Extreme Mountain Racing, a title that was released in 2014 for iOS and Android mobile devices. The game was developed by Canadian studio Goldmark. Other than the aforementioned games the team had produced similar titles for mobile platforms: Sled Mayhem i Moto X Mayhem.
Gameplay
Gameplay in Bike Mayhem 2 is somewhat similar to early Trials games and mobile arcade games like iStunt 2. This time, however, you ride a high-performance bicycle and have to care not only for quickly finishing the track, but also about performing impressive stunts on the way. Each pass is rated with up to three stars, depending on how much points you manage to score. Gameplay uses side-scrolling perspective and features quite realistic physics engine (as you ride you wear down parts of the bicycle, e.g. suspension) and ragdoll system, whose work you can watch each time you crash. As you progress, you can unlock over 130 licensed parts, which improve performance. There are also many character customization options to give him a unique style.
Game modes
Bike Mayhem 2 lets you play solo throughout classic Downhill Races or special Slopestyle Events. But there is also multiplayer, in which you race against ghosts of other players in order to climb up the ranks. Players can choose from 34 different mountains with over 180 slopes that were inspired by real ones, such as Whistler Bike Park or Coast Gravity Park.
Technical aspects
Bike Mayhem 2 for XONE sports rather simple but nice-looking graphics, which does not distract the player from gameplay. On the other hand, adrenaline is pumped up by soundtrack made up of songs of rock bands from Vancouver. A nice addition for fans is a special tool that lets you design your own slopes and share them with others.
