Beyond Citadel

Beyond Citadel is an FPS inspired by the classics of the genre from the 1990s, led by the games Doom and Marathon. The production, which was developed by independent Japanese studio doekuramori, is a sequel to Citadel, released in 2020.

The plot of

Beyond Citadel takes us to a post-apocalyptic universe. The Citadel of the title is the last bastion of humanity in the war against apocalyptic forces led by the so-called Trumpeters. However, the fall of the fortress does not mean the end of the history of the human race.

It is watched over by angels, who entrust the main character - Martyr - with the mission of overthrowing the Trumpeters. To do so, he must follow a mysterious signal.

Gameplay

In Beyond Citadel, we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). While traversing the locations, we mainly deal with fighting enemies. We face both enemy infantry and, among others, armored vehicles, as well as all kinds of monsters.

During dynamic clashes with apocalyptic forces we use both firearms and more sophisticated weapons, including energy weapons, such as pistols, rifles and rocket launchers.

When engaging in exchanges of fire, it is important to remember that each knocker here has its strengths and weaknesses, and also wears out over time. The condition of our weapon directly affects its behavior - the worse it is, the more often it can jam.

In addition, on the battlefield we use skills, the range of which we expand as we progress.
