A real-time space strategy in which we are at the forefront of the Earth's fleet and our task is to confront enemy factions from outer space. As we play Battlevoid: Sector Siege, we have dynamic battles with a variety of units; we create individual spaceships ourselves and then modify them in various ways.

Battlevoid: Sector Siege is a real-time space strategy game that focuses on fast-paced action. The game was developed by the independent studio Bugbyte.

Plot

The action of Battlevoid: Sector Siege takes place in the distant future. During the game, the player takes control over the Earth's fleet, and is tasked with confronting enemy factions from space.

Mechanics

In Battlevoid: Sector Siege the action is shown from the top-down perspective. The gameplay consists of quick clashes involving a variety of spaceships, from light and agile fighters to heavy and well-armoured cruisers. Players create individual units themselves, using the resources they acquired. With time, they can also subject their units to various modifications that increase their combat potential. Moreover, one can freely select the crew of individual ships; this is important because enemy ships can not only be destroyed, but also taken over with the help of soldiers in order to become able of building exact copies of the captured vessels.

Combat takes place across various procedurally generated maps. It is also worth noting that individual factions controlled by the in-game artificial intelligence are fighting fierce battles not only with the player, but also with each other.

Technical aspects

Battlevoid: Sector Siege has simple, two-dimensional visuals. The game allows players to transfer game saves between platforms, so that a game started on PC can be continued on a mobile device (and vice versa).
