The fourth part of the Battleground series takes players back to the realities of the American Civil War. This time we can take part in another, important for the course of the war, which took place in April 1862 near the city of Shiloh, Tennessee.

After a trip into Napoleonic times, which the authors of Battleground donated to the players in the previous installment of the series, in the fourth part of the game we return to the reality of the American Civil War. This time TalonSoft took part in the workshop another famous battle of that period, which was the battle of Shiloh.

The Battle of Shiloh took place on 6 and 7 April 1862. The Confederates' army, headed by General Albert Johnston, and the EU army led by the legendary Ulysses S., stood against each other. Grant. Despite the surprise attack, the Confederate forces failed to break up the Tennessee Army, and Johnston himself was mortally wounded in this fight. Under General Beauregard's command, the attack continued without knowing that Grant troops had merged with the Ohio Army in the meantime, which, given its large numerical strength, eventually turned the balance of victory in favour of the EU.
