Battalia Description
A strategy game that allows players to recreate the historical battles of 1700-1870, including the American War of Independence, the Napoleonic Wars, the American Civil War. Its author is Dr. Turcan, the creator, who once became famous among western players for such great titles as: Great Armada, Borodino, Austerlitz, Waterloo, etc. Battalia was constructed as a command simulator. The player plays the role of the chief commander, who in real time gives orders to subordinate corpses or divisions. The battlefield can be viewed in two ways: in 2D mode as an ordinary board divided into squares with standard squares or in 3D mode as a plastic battlefield with figures forming entire subdivisions and troops. The game is supposed to be one big editor for players who like figurative games and have a computer at the same time. It contains not only the editor as such, but also many battles and battles (of course Austerlitz, Borodino, Waterloo, Gettysburg and others). Battalia is distributed as a shareware product, but the free version has very poor graphics and contains only 14 battles.
