Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp is a simulation and skill game produced by the Swedish studio Pixel Tales for young lovers of horses and the famous doll. The player can play the role of Barbie, who during her stay at an equestrian camp gets to know the charms of horseback riding and visits the surrounding area.

Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp, released on PC, PS2, Wii and NDS, is the third installment of the Activision sub-series about the equestrian adventures of the title character. The game was developed by Pixel Tales, a studio that worked on another series - Springdale.

Plot

We play as the titular character. Barbie goes to a camp for young Amazons, where she takes care of a herd of 15 horses, trains jumping over obstacles, competes in equestrian competitions, and above all, explores the area experiencing various adventures.

Mechanics

The game has been designed with the expectations of young audiences in mind. The tasks are not very demanding, but they allow you to acquire new outfits and accessories, which can be used by the main character.

The developers have tried to make sure that apart from the entertainment layer, the game also contains important educational values. Hence, among other things, the need to take care of the needs of animals (watering, feeding, brushing, etc.), each of which exhibits individual character traits and has a different set of skills.

Technical aspects

The 3D graphics of Barbie Horse Adventures: Riding Camp are characterized by simplicity and aesthetics of form. The creators decided on an open world, which, although not too extensive, attracts attention with its intensive coloring and considerable diversity. The exploration of the area is also accompanied by a climatic soundtrack along with sounds of nature.
