The story of Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn continues the tale that began in the first part, in which the protagonist faced the god Bhaal himself and his own brother Sarevok. This time fate throws him to an unknown land named Amn, located in the southern part of Swords Coast, where he is abducted with his party by a powerful mage, Irenicus.

Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn for PC is the sequel to Baldur’s Gate developed by BioWare. It takes the players to Forgotten Realms which are full of adventures, intrigue and fierce combat, and where your fate is written with sword and magic. The sequel continues the epic story of the Child of Bhaal. This time around, the fate took the protagonist and his companions to the south of the Sword Coast, to the land of Amn. They were kidnapped by a powerful mage, Jon Irenicus. After they had escaped his dungeon, both Irenicus and Imoen, step sister of the protagonist, are captured by the Cowled Wizards. That leaves you in an unknown city with the mission of rescuing Imoen and defeating the evil Irenicus.
The game is based on the second edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. It is possible to import your character from Baldur’s Gate which gives you a level boost from the very start.

Baldur's Gate (English. Baldur's Gate) is a series of isometric RPGs set in the Forgotten Realms universe (created by Canadian high fantasy writer Ed Greenwood), based on modified mechanics of the second edition of the manual for Dungeons and Dragons (a role-playing RPG licensed from Wizards of the Coasts). BioWare studio and publisher Black Isle Studios are responsible for the first two installments of the series and their supplements; their release in Poland was handled by CD Projekt. Work on the third installment of the series, announced nineteen years after the release of "two," was entrusted to Belgium's Larian Studios, known for its warmly received RPGs in the series Divinity.
