Avolteha iOS

Avolteha is a classic point & click adventure game. It was developed by PicoPeople, an independent studio founded by Roman Jahn, and is the result of ten years of work by this developer.

Plot

Avolteha takes us on a journey to the title planet. On this dry globe sand, rocks and volcanoes are in abundance, while water is a scarce commodity on its surface. It can only be found in the clouds, which meant that for many years the inhabitants of Avolteha used special mushrooms to obtain it, around which they settled en masse. When one such source of life-giving liquid is compromised, the main character - Paul - has no choice but to set out to rescue the city clustered around him.

Game mechanics

Avolteha is a side-scroller. We explore various locations, among which we find both picturesque open air and numerous interiors. Exploring them, we talk with the encountered inhabitants of the planet, as well as collect items that are used to solve various puzzles. The developer has decided on an interesting procedure - conversations take place here without the use of words, and in the "balloons" instead of text we will find images symbolizing specific objects or actions we need to perform.

Technical aspects

Avolteha features a very original, colorful graphics, which is made in a style that brings to mind the Wallace and Gromit film series and the cult game The Neverhood.
