Avadon 2: The Corruption HD

Avadon 2: The Corruption is a turn-based RPG for PC and iOS. It was developed by Spiderweb Software, the creators of the original as well as Geneforge and the Avernum series.

Plot

Players assume the role of the eponymous stronghold’s agents yet again, and our mission is to protect it from various threats, starting with regular monsters to neighboring empires’ schemes. Alas, despite our efforts, Avadon has been attacked. Its defenses were largely destroyed and chaos and panic erupted on its streets. Inside the walls, a civil war breaks out, while barbarian tribes prepare for an invasion. Moreover, a mysterious group of schemers put a plan in motion that aims to kill the majority of Avadon’s inhabitants. As it usually is in Spiderweb’s games, the campaign gives us a lot of freedom. The player can either save Avadon or lead to its final doom.

Mechanics

Avadon 2: The Corruption is a classical turn-based RPG for PC and iOS. The developers made several character classes available which in total offer tens of unique skills and spells. In the campaign, we not only visit the inside of the eponymous stronghold but can even go into the uncharted areas surrounding its lands. Apart from the main storyline, the title features tens of side quests to complete as well as dungeons that are full of monsters. During our adventure, we will use several hundred magical items.
