The second expansion for the Russian sci-fi FPS from Mundfish studio. Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo continues the story of one of the endings from the base game and we can visit the titular Limbo. The DLC puts more focus on platforming bits - jumping and sliding. We deal with new enemies and gather apples & coins, unlocking weapons and skills.
Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo is the second (after Annihilation Instinct) expansion to the Atomic Heart FPS, released in February 2023. The authors of the original, the Russian studio Mundfish, are behind the development of this DLC.
Story
Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo is a continuation of one of the endings of the base version of the game. P-3 ends up in a crazy, fabulously colorful, yet full of dangers world of Limbo.
New features in the expansion
The biggest novelty introduced in the Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo expansion is the titular Limbo. The expansion also brings changes to the mechanics, emphasizing platform elements (running, jumping and sliding, we need to show agility). Additionally, the DLC introduces new enemies, as well as previously unavailable weapons and abilities, unlocked in exchange for apples and coins collected along the way. There are also weapon skins available, which we can also use in the main campaign.
Technical aspects
Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo is a non-standalone expansion, therefore it requires the base version of Atomic Heart.
