Asterix and Friends Description
Asterix and Friends, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile strategy. The production was developed by Sproing studio and released in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Plot
As the title suggests, Asterix and Friends is based on a classic comic book series, created by screenwriter René Goscinny and cartoonist Albert Uderzo. Asterix and Friends allows players to build their Gaul village, regularly attacked by Roman legions.
Mechanics
Asterix and Friends is a real-time strategy, done in a style traditional for the mobile market, popularized by Clash of Clans. The game is divided into two elements. The first one is village management. We need to collect resources, build and improve existing buildings, research new technologies and train troops. It is also necessary to take care of our villagers' needs, complete tasks and prepare the settlement for enemy attacks.
The second element is combat where we attack enemy bases. During battles, we have limited control over the troops, so the key role is played by the selection of appropriate units, equipping them with better armor and weapons, efficient use of heroes and magical potions.
Asterix and Friends offers an extensive and full of humor story campaign which is rare for this genre. Here, we break through Roman legions and camps to finally reach Egypt. During these adventures, we can meet many characters known from comics and cartoons. The game also has a multiplayer mode, which allows you to compete with other players over the Internet.
Technical aspects
The big advantage of Asterix and Friends is the graphic design. It was made entirely in two dimensions, in a cartoon style that perfectly imitates comics and animated originals.
It is worth mentioning that the game requires an Internet connection to work - even if we play alone, competing against artificial intelligence.
