Armored Core: for Answer is another installment of a tactical game series, originated back in 1997. Just as in other titles in the series, the 13th game has you play as a pilot of a mech called Armored Core, whose main job is to eliminate encountered enemies.

The story is set over a decade after Armored Core 4. The world got under control of huge corporations and former borders were lost in the shadows of history. Colossal colonies were raised in the skies and have now become targets of fights.

Just as Armored Core 4 the sequel uses third person perspective. The game’s world was expanded to 20 square kilometers, which you can explore freely. Besides, a new type of enemies appeared – Arms Forts – which look like giant space ships. These are the toughest opponents you will face – 7 kilometers long and armed with a weapon able to wipe your mech off the face of the earth. However, you can defeat it using boosters in order to quickly fly around the giant machine and systematically deal damage to it.

Several new AC models were added, some of which are able to transform. Players who are fond of customizing their mechs have now twice as many construction parts as before.

The developers prepared both single player and multiplayer modes. What is especially interesting about the latter is an option for up to 8 players to cooperate in the story mode and fight together against Arms Forts.
