Plot
The game takes us to the mysterious Ez’rat Qin valley. Once it was a home of a great civilization. Now, only ruins remain. Our hero wakes up after hundreds of years of slumber, suffering from amnesia. Ours task is to find out the truth about our hero and the world’s past.
Mechanics
Aporia: Beyond The Valley for PC is an adventure game where we observe the action from a first-person perspective. Gameplay focuses on exploration and gathering clues that will help us find the answers to our questions. The game’s plot is told visually, we won’t find any dialogues or text here.
Gameplay focuses on solving puzzles and riddles. The world of Aporia: Beyond The Valley is full of various riddles. In order to solve them, we have to figure out how many mysterious machines work or find a way of avoiding or disabling traps.
The game’s story is mostly nonlinear which allows us to freely choose what we want to do. If we are stuck on a riddle, we can simply leave if for some time and focus on other challenges of the game.
