An economy strategy game with simulation elements created in the typical style of Kairosoft. This time around, we assume the role of an anime studio owner. The goal is to develop the company and compete against the industry giants.

Anime Studio Story for AND and iOS is another production developed by Kairosoft, a studio known for such titles as Fish Pond Park, Biz Builder Delux, and Pocket League Story 2. The developer specializes in economy strategy games, and this is a representative of this genre.

Plot

In Anime Studio Story for AND and iOS, we assume the role of an owner of a newly formed anime studio, who has to develop his business to the point of being able to compete with the biggest companies in the market. However, the road to this goal is a long one.

Mechanics

The gameplay in Anime Studio Story for AND and iOS resembles that of Game Dev Tycoon and simply involves managing our company. As managers, we have to provide adequate rooms (like a room for motion capture sessions) and equipment for our studio. Naturally, our capabilities are limited by funds, which are acquired by fulfilling orders. These go hand-to-hand with popularity of the studio – it depends not only on the anime we’ve produced but also the characters we’ve created, and which become recognizable stars with time. The remaining part of the staff (writers, sound engineers, and so on) are important, and have to be hired to work on new projects.
