Ami is an indie platform game with clearly defined elements of puzzle game and minimalist graphic design. The game was developed and published by LightHouse Studio.
Ami is an indie platformer with elements of puzzle game. The script prepared by the authors also plays an important role in this game. The game was developed by LightHouse Studio and is its debut project.
Ami takes place at a time when the world is on the verge of ruin - it has become a dangerous place, and soon life on it will be completely over. The player takes on the role of Ami - the girl who is the key to survival - provided that she manages to get to a certain place.
Ami is a side-scroller. The game is about exploring the locations (we move on foot or using vehicles - e.g. a bicycle or a boat) and solving simple puzzles, which most often require a specific interaction with something or finding a specific object. From time to time, we must also avoid threats from other people and wild animals.
An important role is also played by the story created by the authors, and the production is distinguished by an unusual way of telling it - the plot is delivered through the animations of the characters, backgrounds and interactions with the environment.
In Ami we can only play alone. The core of the game is a feature campaign.
Ami has an original graphic design that combines two and three-dimensional elements. A characteristic feature of the graphics is a minimalist, economical style, which can be seen both in the designs of the characters and the locations. The harshness of the presented world contrasts slightly with the distinct colours of the main character.
Ami was published in an episodic form.
