Always in Mind is a 3D indie adventure platformer. It was developed by Inevitable Studios founded by Cord Smith, an industry veteran who previously worked for Sega, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Compulsion Games.

Plot

Always in Mind stars Teddy, a twelve-year old boy, who, after an unfortunate accident, falls into a coma, traversing the surreal world of his subconscious. He must escape this prison before his own thoughts claim him forever. Fortunately, he's not alone on his journey, as he's accompanied by Proxy, an AI implanted into his mind.

Mechanics

Always in Mind makes use of various, cinematic camera angles. The player must traverse various areas, ranging from mundane forests to abnormal places that break the laws of physics. The stages are full of platforms and traps, requiring dexterity and reflexes to get past. Teddy has supernatural abilities he uses to jump far, slide on surfaces and glide. There are also clever environmental puzzles to solve, during which we're assisted by Proxy, our guide and companion.
