OpenCritic
An action horror game developed by Survios studio in cooperation with 20th Century Games, created for VR headsets. The game offers only a single-player campaign and the story is set between the first two movies - Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).
Alien: Rogue Incursion is a survival horror game based on the license of the cult film series, initiated in 1979 by the movie Alien, directed by Ridley Scott. The game was developed with virtual reality sets in mind, and was created by the Survios studio, whose portfolio includes such projects as Creed: Rise to Glory and The Walking Dead Onslaught.
Plot
The action of Alien: Rogue Incursion is set between the films Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). During the game we take on the role of a hero who ends up on the inhospitable planet Purdan, specifically - in a gloomy facility located on its surface. Given that this place is overrun by creatures called xenomorphs, his stay on this globe quickly becomes a real struggle for survival.
Gameplay
In Alien: Rogue Incursion we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game we explore a research center bathed in darkness and carry out the missions set before us, thereby pushing the story forward.
We are constantly hunted by aliens and we must be vigilant at every step. The behavior of xenomorphs is supervised by artificial intelligence, which ensures that they move and attack in a natural, yet unpredictable way.
Useful information about the location of adversaries is provided to us by a special motion sensor. The game provides us with a pulse rifle, shotgun, and other murder tools, but engaging in open combat is not always the ideal solution here. Often a better tactic is to act quietly (noise attracts the attention of enemies) and creatively use the environment.
Engine
Alien: Rogue Incursion runs on Unreal Engine 5.

Gaming Nexus: 7 / 10 by Eric Hauter
The vibes are right, the story is good, the graphic are fun, the sound effects are amazing, and the Xenomorphs are legit frightening. But all of that is almost undone by an antiquated save system, which combines with bugs to strand the player in frustrating gameplay loops. As a franchise fan, I would still play this game. But Xenomorphs aren't the only bugs you're going to be fighting.
MonsterVine: 4 / 5 by Spencer Legacy
Alien: Rogue Incursion is a frighteningly impressive game that nails the tone of the series and is the title that could push the common perception of VR forward. The save system is a bit harsh, but the sheer immersion and fear that the game specializes in makes this a VR must-play.
Glitched Africa: 9 / 10 by Marco Cocomello
Alien: Rogue Incursion makes for an excellent VR horror game that successfully delivers the series’ best scares through a whole new perspective. It works and it is incredibly fun to play. From the game’s chilling atmosphere to the intense gunplay, this is Alien like you have never experienced it before. Survios has done an excellent job.

Alien: Isolation Fans, Pay Attention - Alien is Getting a New Horror Game
The video game Aliens has been announced, which appears to be an item aimed - at least in part - at fans of Alien: Isolation. Unfortunately, for now we do not know much about it, and the release seems very far away.
