A combination of an action adventure game and a FPP simulator. Ale & Tale Tavern allows us to run the titular tavern in a fantasy land. We can prepare meals, serve guests, expand the tavern, explore the world and fight enemies. The game offers single & coop multiplayer.

Ale & Tale Tavern is a game on the border between simulators and action-adventure titles. The game was developed by the independent studio Scienart Games, and its release was handled by the companies GrabTheGames and UpgradePoint.

Gameplay

In Ale & Tale Tavern we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The action takes us to a fantasy land and gives us access to a vast, open world. During the game we play as a character who takes over an old, abandoned tavern. From then on, our primary goal is to restore this place to its former glory.

To accomplish the task, we need to take care of the tavern's appearance, decorating it appropriately, and also prepare a menu for the guests. If we want to serve the best meals and drinks, we need to acquire the ingredients necessary to prepare them. There are many ways of getting the ingredients - starting from farming, through animal and plant breeding, to fishing and hunting. Of course, it is our responsibility to fulfill the orders placed by customers.

If we do everything right, our business will eventually turn into a real success, attracting new guests and filling our pockets. But that's not the end of it, because as we explore the game world, we meet its inhabitants, many of whom have various missions for us. Additionally, we have to solve environmental puzzles during exploration and discover the secrets of the land, as well as face opponents. On the battlefield, we make use of both melee weapons and bows, and even simple firearms.
