Largely inspired by the Wonder Boy series, a Metroidvania title with action RPG elements. During the game, we assume the role of Aggelos – the hero traveling through the fantastic world of Lumen and fighting invaders from another dimension. Thanks to the pixel-art visuals and a catchy, chiptune soundtrack, the game strongly resembles 16-bit classics.

Developed by the independent studio Storybird Games, Aggelos is a side-track Metroidvania game with action RPG elements. The title draws inspiration from 16-bit classics (especially the Wonder Boy franchise).

Plot

Aggelos takes us to the world of Lumen which is invaded by aggressive entities from another dimension. During gameplay, we take control of a hero who stands against the invaders. In order to defeat them, he needs to travel through the realm and find artefacts which will help him send the opponents back where they came from.
