Ageless is a two-dimensional platform game in the pixel art style, in which, as we travel through the magical world, we influence the aging of encountered creatures and plants. The game was created by small One More Dream Studios and released by Team17 Digital, which also released Overcooked, Blasphemous and The Escapist.

Plot

Kiara, because that's the name of the main heroine, is struggling with a traumatic loss, and in addition, she was gifted by a mysterious obelisk with an extraordinary gift — a magic bow. This allows her to influence the age of the flora and fauna it encounters. The fairy-tale journey into the depths of her own self challenges her with morally complicated decisions: whether to use her new ability to fight the demons of the past that tormented her, or rather to escape from them.

Mechanics

Ageless is a two-dimensional platform game observed from the side perspective. In the game, we travel through different worlds - forest, urban, desert, technological and other, each with different challenges and typical creatures and plants.

There are many typical platformer elements in the game, which require dexterity and sense, but also a lot of different kinds of environmental puzzles. It is necessary for them to use a magic bow, which, as the target ages, changes its characteristics. And so, for example, a small and light rhinoceros, after a few arrows from our bow, ages and gains weight.

In addition to her usual enemies, Kiara also encounters powerful bosses, whose defeat requires precision, cleverness and a considerable amount of dexterity.

The game is also attractive for collectors, because there are magical artifacts scattered around the world, which take a lot of effort to find, but provide a lot of satisfaction.
