An episodic action game developed by Intoxicate. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe known from the cRPG Afterfall and from the survival horror Afterfall Insanity. The player enters a world that survived a great war, where groups of survivors are hiding in small mountain settlements, forced to fight in search for supplies and resources.

Afterfall: Reconquest for PC is the third installment in the series of games that take place in the grim, post-apocalyptic universe of Afterfall. Contrary to two previous entries in the saga that were a cRPG and a survival horror titles, Reconquest is an action-adventure game that presents the action by using a third-person perspective. It was developed by Polish studio Intoxicate that is a part of Nicolas Games.

Plot

The game once again takes place in a world that survived a destructive war, during which new types of weapons decimated Earth. Most of the survivors hid in small settlements deep in the mountains. After some time, when the resources started to deplete, the situations forced the survivors to look for new sources of clear water, grounds that are good for farming and resources that can be used as a fuel or changed into tools.

Nicolas Games, a studio associated mainly with Afterfall franchise, filed for bankruptcy. The decision was made because of the financial problems that the studio had after their conflict with the American giant – Epic Games.
