AdventureQuest 3D is an MMORPG created by Artix Entertainment. The title is the successor to the browser games AdventureQuest and AdventureQuest Worlds developed by the same studio.

Plot

The game's action takes place in the land of Lore, the same fantasy world as Artix's previous games. The player-created main character starts the game dead, quickly meeting Death himself. The Grim Reaper offers us a deal - he will bring us back to life in exchange for finding the key to the land of the dead, stolen by Vane, King of the Abyss. Our task is to travel to the city of Battleon and stop the villain before he can use the key to create a powerful army of undead. The plot does not take itself seriously, while the dialogues have a light, humorous tone.

Game mechanics

In terms of mechanics, AdventureQuest 3D is a classic MMORPG. The core of the game is traveling to new locations, completing quests and acquiring new equipment. The combat system acts in real time. The player can move around the map and attack enemies or use skills that give special effects. More powerful enemies have access to devastating area attacks, marked by a red field, from which we must run out to avoid damage.

One of the unique gameplay elements is the class system. At the beginning, the player has a choice of Warrior, Mage and Villain classes. One can switch freely between the classes, while the class levels are separated from the character level. New classes can be unlocked by completing daily quests that reward us with special currency, which we can spend on a new class or pay with real cash.

Game modes

AdventureQuest 3D is a multiplayer game. The title supports cross-play and cross-progression between all platforms for which it was released. The gameplay is based mainly on PvE modes - PvP mode is available only after purchasing a premium account.

Technical aspects

The audiovisual setting of AdventureQuest 3D is quite simple. The game differs from the studio's previous games and is fully 3D for the first time.
