Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus Description
Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus for PC Windows is a turn-based strategy revolving around mech battles. The game was developed by Australian Membraine Studios.
Plot
The game is set in the dark Warhammer 40K universe and allows players to become commanders of the titular Titans – grand walking battle machines that dominate battlefields in this universe.
The developers were mainly inspired by the 1990s' Titan Legions battle game – the second incorporation of the Epic battle system that includes rules allowing players to engage in even larger battles than the standard Warhammer 40,000 battle game.
Mechanics
The PC Windows release of Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus is a tactical turn-based strategy game. Even though the story revolves around grand battles, players get to control limited units of Tytan combat mechs that are heavily armed and wearing tough armors. The game offers a wide selection of mechs from different Space Marines orders and those among the brothers who succumbed to Chaos.
Most of the elements of the environment can be destroyed, thus the result of a battle depends on using one's surroundings and gaining a tactical advantage. In the game, players can also engage in melee combat which can have a significant impact on the result of a battle. Another important element is the stress mechanic that affects units' morale on a battlefield.
All the in-game locations are highly diversified, and players can enjoy many different scenarios with unique victory conditions.
Game modes
Adeptus Titanicus: Dominus offers single-player story campaign and skirmish battles against the games' AI. There is also the multiplayer mode allowing you to wage online battles with other players.
