Actua Soccer Description
Actua Soccer is one of the first attempts to create a sports game that is a realistic simulation of football. Gremlin Interactive studio, known for such productions as Zool or Premier Manager, undertook an ambitious task. The Sheffield Wednesday football club also joined the game, and professional football players Chris Woods, Graham Hyde and Andy Sinton took part in the motion-capture sessions.
The Actua Soccer stands out above all because of its modern graphics engine, which allows to render 3D images in real time (including player models made of polygons).
In the course of the game, players have the opportunity to direct the actions of players of forty-four teams. The creators of the game took care of realistic behaviour of players on virtual fields, refined physics of ball movement, as well as extensive options of individualisation of players' appearance and skills.
Actua Soccer offers the opportunity to compete with artificial intelligence or a living opponent.
