An isometric arena survivor action game, set in the same world as Achilles: Legends Untold. In Achilles: Survivor we play as various characters from the Greek mythology, facing thousands of enemies and powerful bosses. We must rely on skills and good strategy to win.
Achilles: Survivor is an isometric, bullet heaven type action game. It combines mechanics known from this subgenre with building and roguelike elements. The game was developed by the Polish studio Dark Point Games and it is a return to the world known from Achilles: Legends Untold.
Plot
In Achilles: Survivor we find ourselves in a world inspired by Greek mythology, which is consumed by the conflict between the god of the underworld, Hades, and the god of war, Ares.
As the titular Achilles, hero and warrior of the Trojan War, we escape from Tartarus. In this way, we release the souls of the so-called Survivors.
As part of our journey, we visit picturesque places such as the Greek islands, but also Troy and the aforementioned Tartarus.
Gameplay
The key feature of the gameplay is fighting hordes of mythological monsters and bosses who attack in waves. We use not only skills and available arsenal to survive, but also rely on good strategy. For this purpose, we have the ability to construct machines and traps, such as a Trojan horse or a fire-breathing turret. Every structure has its unique features that can make the battle easier.
The game world is divided into individual locations and we are allowed to choose battles with additional objectives. Side tasks include inflicting a certain number of damage within a limited time or constructing a specific number of buildings.
In addition to Achilles, who wields powerful melee attacks, we can take on the role of other Survivors. They include Paris attacking from a distance, Pythia casting spells, or Cyclops Brontes wielding brutal strength. The characters have unique combat abilities and numerous powers that we can unlock with points earned from defeated opponents.
We collect treasures during expeditions that help us develop and become more dangerous, and in case of failure we return stronger.
