An old-school RPG with plot that was inspired by the Akira Kurosawa's classic movie Seven Samurai and its American remake, The Magnificent Seven. The action is set in a fantasy world on the island of Roven, where the inhabitants have been terrorized by ruthless bandits for a long time — they steal, burn down houses, and even commit murder. The desperate islanders hire a group of seven coldblooded mages to deal with the villains.

Plot

As the title suggests, the plot of 7 Mages was inspired by the film Seven Samurai and its American remake - The Magnificent Seven. The action takes place in the classic fantasy land, on Roven island. According to legends, this is a place where gods sleep, resting after the hardship of creating the world. Everything on the island is full of magic, which has brought in ruthless bandits who have been terrorizing the inhabitants for a long time, stealing, setting fire to their homes and sometimes committing murders. Desperate victims collect all their savings and use them to hire a group of seven ruthless magicians to kill all the bandits.

Mechanics

7 Mages uses the classic solutions of old PC dungeon crawlers. We lead a party consisting of seven characters, and we observe the action from the perspective of its commander. You can only turn 90 degrees to the right or left. The battles are fought in rounds and the combat system offers quite a high level of tactical depth. We have full control over each character and all of them have various magical abilities. The game also features logical puzzles.

7 Mages has extensive content. The campaign should take several dozen hours, during which we can visit fourteen types of locations and face more than thirty types of opponents. In addition, the magic system offers 60 spells.
