7 Billion Humans for PC Windows and Nintendo Switch is a sequel to the 2015 game Human Resource Machine. It was developed by Tomorrow Corporation, also known for Little Inferno.
Plot
In the in-game world, machines are doing all the tasks that once were completed by humans, from industrial jobs to simply making coffee. Soon it turns out that people cannot stand this situation and they want to work. Thus, the machines construct an enormous skyscraper, where all people are employed.
Mechanics
The machines use people to do various tasks. All of them involve solving puzzles by programming the employees, who then automatically follow all the orders. The gameplay of 7 Billion Humans is similar to that of Human Resource Machine, but you have more options, as you can issue orders to a group of people instead of just one person at a time. Fortunately, the gameplay mechanics are well-explained, so everyone can try playing. There are over sixty programming-themed puzzles to solve.
Technical aspects
The game features a distinct cartoonish style, also utilized in every other production by Tomorrow Corporation. 7 Billion Humans also features an original soundtrack by Kyle Gabler, one of the studio's founders.
