40 Winks is a three-dimensional platform game about the adventures of siblings who set out to save the title Winki. The production was originally released on the PlayStation, and Eurocom Entertainment Software is responsible for its creation.
40 Winks Description
40 Winks is a three-dimensional platformer originally released on PlayStation 1. We play as siblings exploring the land of dreams in search of the titular Winks. The game was developed by Eurocom, and published by Piko Interactive LLC.
Plot
We play as Ruff and Tumble, siblings who find themselves in dreamland with a mission to free the titular Winks. The creatures responsible for creating good dreams have been imprisoned by a mysterious man named Nitekap and his helper, a teddy bear named Threadbear.
Mechanics
40 Winks is a classic three-dimensional platformer released on the first PlayStation. The gameplay here is about jumping between platforms, avoiding traps and overcoming enemies wandering on the map. In addition, the player collects objects placed on the map and the titular Winks. Ruff and Tumble travel through a total of six different worlds. At the end of each of them, a powerful boss awaits the siblings. The game offers the player the possibility of transforming heroes into other beings (depending on whether we play as a boy or a girl), which grant us unique additional skills.
Technical aspects
On the day of its premiere, the game was released only on the first PlayStation. Graphically, the production has grown old enough, but the cartoon style still works in its favor.
