January 20, 2015

A hilarious cRPG with cartoonish graphics, developed by an independent Canadian studio - Eden Industries. The player assumes the role of the world's vice-president. Having won the elections, the protagonist returns to their hometown and discovers that the neighbouring forests are filled with bizzare creatures that came into being as a result of mysterious genetic experiments. With help of the local community, the politician decides to discover who is behind all of this and tries to stop the madness. The player can recruit practically every character they encounter - among them, one will find bakers, teachers, homeless or waiters. Such characters will be gaining experience throughout the game, and once the player decides to exclude them from their team, they return to their posts in order to provide the player with better shops, as well as new, useful items. This system encourages the player to experiment and to regularly replace particular team-members, especially because the main story is relatively short.

July 5, 2012

The fourth installment of the popular series of jRPG games developed by studio Atlus since 2007. The new installment is, similarly as its predecessor, a typical example of its genre in which the player controls a group of heroes who explore dungeons and catacombs. Members of few professions can join player’s team. Among them there are traditional classes, like medic and knight, and original ones like sapper and dancer. Player can determine their look and abilities by using an advanced creator. Mechanics of the game are similar to ones in previous installments of the series. The action is shown from first-person perspective and the duels with encountered enemies are played in a turn-based system. The game is shown on one screen of the console while the other one is used for displaying map. This map can be freely modified and useful information of various kinds can be added to it.
