During gameplay, you need to gather resources necessary for putting up buildings.
Battle Brothers

Battle Brothers takes the player to a medieval-like low-fantasy world, where they become a leader of a mercenary band. The player can have up to 12 fighters under their command, and each of them has a portrait, name and a backstory, apart from a set of features that affect their stats and capabilities on the battlefield.
Life is Feudal: Forest Village

A city builder strategy game created by Mindillusion. The player is placed in charge of an early-medieval settlement. One's prime goal here is to maintain an appropriate balance between expanding the village and being able to survive in a hostile environment. Thus, apart from utilizing more and more space, constructing new buildings and upgrading the existing ones, the player has to give proper winter clothing to their subordinates and deliver them with balanced meals.
Kingdom: New Lands

An improved version of the old-school, minimalistic strategy game, Kingdom, that was released in 2015 by two independent developers nicknamed noio and Licorice. Similarly as in the original game, in the new title the player assumes the role of a king who travels through the world and uses his wealth to gain new subjects and expand his domain. As the game progresses, the king gains access to new craftsmen as well as production and military buildings.
Crusader Kings II: The Reaper's Due

The 12th expansion for 2012’s grand strategy game by Paradox Interactive, Crusader Kings II. In The Reaper’s Due, the developers focused on historical epidemics such as the Black Death which was the plague that gathered a bloody harvest in 13th century Europe. Therefore, the add-on introduces several new mechanics. The most important ones are obviously diseases that spread throughout the map of the continent.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

A tactical real-time strategy game inspired by the Commandos series. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is set in Japan in 1615. The new shogun decided to enforce peace in the entire country which requires him to silently eliminate all the opposition that may dream of rebelling against him. To achieve this, he asks a group of five specialists who deal in murder, sabotage, and espionage.
Europa Universalis IV: Mandate of Heaven

The player assumes the role of a king, traversing the world, who acquires new subjects by giving gold to settlers. As a result, newly recruited subjects build and develop villages, creating tools, weapons, and fortifications essential for defense against raiding trolls.
SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest

Large standalone expansion to SpellForce 3 - RTS mix with RPG from Grimlore Games studio. The add-on offers a new campaign (lasting about 20 hours) and two factions: dwarves and dark elves. In addition, there are a handful of previously unavailable units for base races and significant changes in the game (e.g. in the resource system).

In the story campaign, we can assume control of the armies of four sides of the conflict: humans (Space Marines), Orks, the Eldar, and the Tyranids. Contrary to its predecessor, in Dawn of War II we have a much larger freedom in terms of playing and can determine the order of conquest.
