Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 Description
“Pro Evolution Soccer 2014” is a football simulator created for the loyal fans. The game was developed by Konami, a Japanese studio. The first installment of the series dates back to the mid-90s, but the first numbered part was published in 2001. Since then, the brand has gained recognition among players competing for the title of the best football game with “FIFA”. In the case of “Pro Evolution Soccer 2014”, developers decided to modify the structure and mechanics of the game. Introduced features are the most significant modifications since many years.
The game once again enables you to manage the best teams from different leagues. You can play championship mode or cups, as well as single matches. The first important new feature is more accurate and more sensitive control mechanism. It allows for controlling the center of gravity of the football players for more natural and satisfying game. The importance of different tricks and maneuvers misleading opponents has been increased. As a result, they become one of the most important elements of the tactics.
Costumes of the football players are now animated separately, so you can catch (or pull) competitors’ T-shirts. The changes did not spare the team management options. Formations still play an important role, but the game enables you to control the behavior of individual players, so that they can play according to different strategies and other priorities in specific sectors of the field.
The changes also influenced the ball control, as well as playing the first ball which often opens a clear path to the goal. Moreover, the free kick mechanism has been improved – from now on an extra player can participate.
The game runs on a special version of Fox Engine developed by Kojima Productions studio for the needs of the “Metal Gear Solid” series. It has been heavily modified to adopt it to a football simulation. The developers focus on photorealistic presentation of the field and the players. The new engine improves the behavior of ball’s physics and offers smoother motion animation.
