Transformers: The Last Knight – Dumpster Scene. The most expensive scenes in cinema history
Table of Contents
It shouldn't be surprising that Michael Bay makes another appearance on this list! This time it's about his spectacular series Transformers, and more precisely – about the Last Knight from 2017. Bay's productions about giant robots have never been overly ambitious, but let's not forget that intellectual quality has never been the goal here. This is entertainment in its purest form, which is most of all supposed to be an audiovisual feast.
In this case, let's stop for a moment at the scene in the garbage dump where the terrifying Megatron appears. It was here that the fight between good and evil took place. Bay managed to fine-tune the scene to a great extent: about ninety people were hired, the entire project lasted two months, and the scene was filmed for ten days. Then, the creators worked on all other effects in the studio.
And even if they received eight Golden Razzies for this film, when we shrug off the narrative nonsense, we will get a satisfactory film born out of a passion for Transformers (and special effects).
