7. Trove

  1. Business Model: free-to-play with microtransactions
  2. Platforms: PC, PS4, XOne

Trove this is a voxel MMO, which absolutely should not be confused with Cube World. At first glance, both games offer similar possibilities, but in practice Trove is more of an adventure game, focused on playing with others. Building and assembling parts is just an extra thing here. We can create various constructions from unusual blocks, but only in designated places. Fortunately, we affect the appearance of the environment almost freely, simply destroying the blocks. You must get these blocks somehow!

Trove offers a rich selection of character classes with varied skills. The lion's share of the fun is spent fighting various opponents, advancing to higher levels, developing the hero and gaining more and more powerful equipment. Crafting is also important, allowing, for example, to create unique mounts. The only drawback of the game is that it's repeatability, but if you are fans of voxel fun, you should find plenty of engagement here.

In a nutshell

Who's this game for? For those who're in love with the voxel style, are looking for more casual MMO to play, emphasizing combat and collecting blocks.

Is it supported on regular basis? Not as regularly as it deserves.

Is it pay-to-win? The shop has a subtle but clear effect on the fun.
