Another Rainbow Six, but this time in co-op
Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Quarantine. However, the world got a real quarantine, and the developers decided that they can't compete with that. However, they did not throw the project into the trash, but postponed its premiere and changed its name to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction. This is how we got a co-op game about people fighting a mysterious parasite.
Not zombies, but infected. Not monsters, but mutants
Rainbow Six: Extraction does not have a dedicated story campaign. Instead, Ubisoft introduces 12 maps with procedurally-generated challenges. This means that while the layout of the rooms is always more or less the same, the placement of opponents and their type change each time. Additionally, when our operator falls in battle, we lose access to them. Then, we have to choose a different character and possibly decide to take the companion back from the hands of mutants, if we want to play it again. It will probably not be the game of the year, but who knows – maybe it will find its niche.
